- Disabled Access: There is dedicated parking but you will need to let us know you are coming so our stewards at roadblocks can direct you. There is easy access to the contest site from the parking spot. If you have particular needs, then let us know in advance and we will do our best to accomodate you.
Please note that the site cannot be accessed from the A62 Standedge Road after the road closure at 4pm. If you plan to visit the contest at the start, then please park on either side of the road near Warth Mill and await instruction. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TURN COACHES WHILST THE ROAD IS STILL OPEN. Our stewards will sort out coaches once the road is clear. Your position in the queue can be secured by waiting at the Registration tent.
The newest contest on the Saddleworth block, Diggle Whit Friday Brass Band Contest has been running since 2009. The Contest has an unusual arrangement, in that we turn coaches around when they arrive in the village. This can make things look a bit busy at times, but we have a very fast turnaround, and work hard to give accurate information about how long waiting times are.
The MARCH START has changed slightly for 2026 to make registration simpler and safer. See our Map below.
