The Friezland Contest has been running for 40 years. Unique among the Oldham & Saddleworth contests, Friezland is open solely to Third and Fourth Section, Youth, University and unregistered Bands. Our contest has strong links with the local community, and we are committed to encouraging Youth and lower section bands, whilst providing a special evening of family-friendly fun and entertainment.
OUR FACILITIES
The church hall is accessible and has toilet facilities including disabled toilets and baby changing facilities.
At The BBQ – the hard working volunteers supply a wide range of food at very reasonable prices with fast track facilities for band members in a hurry
In The Kitchen – Come in and enjoy meat & potato pie, cheese & onion pie, vegan chilli and a wide range of homemade cakes and scones. To drink we serve tea, coffee and hot/cold juices.
Bar – We have a well stocked bar providing real ale, wine and soft drinks.
